PROFILE

Apoorvashram - for the past 15 years this Ashram has been doing many charitable and devotional activities under the trust Swadhya Charitable Trust. The founder and spiritual leader of this Ashram is Matha Prem Vaishali (Vanaja Guruji) based at Ammuparamba, Thottada a small village in Kannur district of Kerala. The Ashram follows the ancient gurukula system where the disciples stay and learn with the guru. The students learn about controlling their body, treating themselves and others of different ailments using ayurvedic medicines, yoga and meditation. We have found that the combination of Ayurveda and Yoga have brought great results in curing many chronic ailments.

Guru

Guruji Sri Rishi Prabhakar Gurukul is a place meant for self study, and self personality development. To learn contentment towards life and accepting the moment the way its been gifted by lord. To achieve this and to lead a life towards the contentment we would need a Guru to show us the correct directions and explain the means to achive it. Guru is none other than Lord itself, the one who has experienced the self and is set to show others the right direction for the knowledge of self. Our mother Sri Prem Vaishali is a disciple of Guruji Sri Rishi Prabhakar, who personifies universal guru for our Mother and her endeavor is all offered at the feet of Guruji Sri Rishi Prabhakar.

Being the embodiment of Love, Ma Prem Vaishali believes that nobody is an orphan and feels it is every individual's responsibility that we take care of them, with love and care and give them better future and enroot them good values to become a good human being. Everyone of us have the right for better life and why not give them their right.

Keeping this as her vision towards life Amma (as we call her) has opened an Ashram , which has become a home to many lives and many more to come. This place holds and nourishes many lives under its roof from old aged to tender aged kids . This ashram and the people in it has touched many hearts, who have supported it in many ways and forms and being responsible in its smooth functioning .

This Ashram is a place with humanity as its religion.

Working of the trust

Our aim

The trust works with the help of many like minded people who has got the time and money to spare for charity activities and thereby for the betterment of the society.
Most of the trust staff work and stay in the ashram or some even reside in their houses. The services that they render is on a voluntary basis and they donot draw any salary or any other benefits from the Ashram other than food and accommodation.

We help children who are orphaned or whose parents are serving jail terms. We provide them financial and other aids and therby provide them a better life. We also take care of the aged who are abandoned by their children or who has got nobody to look after them. Our aim is to provide the destitutes in the society with a better living and thereby give them their right place in the society.
